Reporting on places tool

It is extremely difficult to analyze the data from the report in the places tool. Any improvements with this would be appreciated.

Reporting start date - default to published date

When running reports, can there be a further option in the calendar drop down that defaults to the date the project was published please? We only ever run reports from the project start/publish date to current, but each time we are required to man...
