Newsletter tool - list management

  1. Overall list management: People should be able to sign up to your engagement newsletter list (not specific to a project) without having to create an account. The newsletter database should be separate from registration on the platform.

  2. Project subscriber list: You should be able to import project subscribers from the admin side of the platform. For example, if a participant attends an in-person event, and you get consent from participants to add them to the list of project subscribers, there is no way to import them into the platform. If you manually add them from the front end, there is a two-step verification process if they don't already have an account on the platform. It should be easy to allow people to follow a project.

+1 from National Mental Health NSW

The need to register creates an additional blocker especially since most of their mailing list exists on Campaign Monitor and they are not looking to pay more for a connector. Instead of focusing the time to create engaging newsletters via EHQ, they have to think and discuss the privacy and security aspect of importing participants.

If EHQ Newsletter functionality is separate from registration, this will make the feature more attractive to clients and end users.
